A Brief History

This trailer came to us in good original shape. We refinished the surfaces with period appropriate materials and colors and opened it up to create a very comfortable space. A record player completes the room.

Avion Coach Corporation was founded in 1955 with the same idea as so many other trailer manufactures: to build a better trailer than Airstream. Their arguably superior build quality gained a big following in the marketplace. Avion was purchased by Fleetwood in 1976 who continued to build travel trailers under the name until the mid 1990’s. You will still see many Avions on the road, just keep an eye out for their anodized aluminum exteriors.
